Wonderful location in a beautiful old pub in a quiet corner of Rutland, handy base for a wedding celebration and all staff were amazingly efficient and lively. Got the same lovely romantic double room with a very comfortable bed booked online, appreciated that. Good service was provided.

Charming old coaching inn with character-rich features like squeaky floors and beautiful period decor. The beautiful room boasted a fine four-poster bed and an expansive bathroom that was excellent. Breakfast included delicious cooked options that were hearty and satisfying, complemented by freshly brewed tea. The garden offered a tranquil setting for a drink.

We loved the area, its super quiet n perfect for walkin. The restaurant was fabulous, makin our meals super enjoyable, and breakfast was delish too! Felt really relaxed n had some quality time with my husband here. Oh, and the decor of the hotel is just fine, really cozy vibes! The staff were all friendly.
The only downside was that our room felt a lil dark, and i wouldve preferred a lighter duvet. Could use a few more teabags n milk in the room.

The Beautiful Double Room was spacious and beautifully decorated. The tea and coffee facilities were appreciated, especially with the fine view of the village green. I really enjoyed the food. My steak was perfectly cooked, and the breakfast kept me energized all day. The staff were great. There were some issues. The bathroom didn't have consistent hot water. The music from the bar below was quite loud late at night, which disturbed my sleep. It would be great if they could manage the noise better. Despite these inconveniences, my experience was still enjoyable overall.

I enjoyed a large room with a separate area and comfy furnishings. The hosts were friendly. One evening, I savored a good steak that stood out. The location was great for country walks, which I found relaxing. I appreciated the quietness of the room for a peaceful night's sleep.
The lighting in the room was not ideal, and I would have preferred lighter duvets during the warm weather. Breakfast options were limited for someone looking for lighter fare.
